She survived a Paris hotel robbery, a very public divorce and two decades of fame.

But a bombshell new book claims one of the scariest moments of her life stayed secret for years.

And it happened on a family trip with her then-husband.

Kim Kardashian, 46, had a gun pointed at her head by police during a 2018 trip to Uganda with Kanye West, according to a new biography of the reality star.

Guns out

Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, by journalist Jonathan Van Meter, was released on Tuesday. It's an authorised biography, built on five years of reporting and about 50 hours of interviews with Kardashian.

Longtime Keeping Up with the Kardashians executive producer Farnaz Farjam told Van Meter that an October 2018 trip to Uganda was when she "first realized how bad things were for the couple."

The family and a film crew were shooting at a remote location. The couple's daughter North was 5.

Then Kanye "became paranoid and agitated," Van Meter writes.

He “basically got the local police to believe that there were people trying to drug him and so they came and they had guns out,” Farjam told the author. "He had them raid everybody's rooms."

And during the raid, Van Meter writes, "one of the policemen had a gun to Kim's head."

Farjam called it "intense." "I ended up having to get a private jet and get my crew out of there," she said.

Farjam "forgave Kanye for the Africa fiasco 'because he lives with bipolar disorder and he was in a manic place,'" Van Meter writes.

Kardashian has not commented on the claims. But Van Meter told The Hollywood Reporter she went through every page of the manuscript and pointed out inaccuracies.

Kanye was not interviewed for the book, and his reps did not immediately respond to requests for comment from People or Page Six.

Publicly, the trip looked very different. Kanye met Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and gave him a pair of Yeezy sneakers, and the couple visited an orphanage outside the capital.

Not her first brush with terror

Two years earlier, Kardashian was tied up and robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room. Eight people were convicted over the heist in 2025.

She and Kanye split in 2021, and their divorce was finalised in 2022. They share four kids: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.

In the book, she calls co-parenting with him a "big burden." "I worry about him all day. That's the father of my kids. I'll never not worry about him," she told Van Meter.

"I will sweep everything under the rug, all the horrible things he has said about me, so that the kids can see their father."
