Anneka Jones Joins Maxine Productions as Executive Vice President

Leading content creator Anneka Jones has been welcomed as the executive vice president of development and current programming at Maxine Productions. She will be responsible for series and feature productions. Anneka moves from her role as chief content officer at Left/Right Productions to join the leadership team at Maxine.

This addition to the team has been heralded by Mary Robertson, the founder of Maxine Productions. Having worked with Anneka for more than 10 years at Left/Right, Robertson vouched for Anneka's wide industry recognition, versatility, and her ability to merge journalistic rigor with strong commercial instincts.

Robertson sees Anneka's addition to the team as a defining moment for Maxine, capitalizing on a plethora of past successes. She’s excited about the company's commitment to an ambitious nonfiction slate and is looking forward to their future collaborations.

Anneka's duties include the expansion of the studio’s content development, driving sales strategies, as well as managing ongoing series and film productions. Her role will also involve contributing to future works, including a confidential project on the soon-to-be-unveiled series and features by the Alexander Brothers, in collaboration with Vox/New York Magazine, Rolling Stone, BuzzFeed, and others.

Maxine Productions, established in 2022, has already curated a host of documentaries and other content, such as “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of TV,” “The Fall of Diddy,” and “June.”

Expressing her excitement, Anneka commented that she is elated to team up with her long-time associate, Mary, and join the accomplished team at Maxine. She expressed honor in having the opportunity to reinforce the company's notable success by boosting its production capability and speeding up creative efforts.

Over the years, at Left/Right since its establishment in 2005, Anneka has contributed to a variety of investigative journalism and reality series projects. These include noteworthy titles like Showtime’s “This American Life” and “The Circus,” Apple TV+'s “Gutsy,” and PBS’ “Frontline,” among several others.
