What we here at Star Wars News Net are most excited about is the Obi Wan series coming to Disney Plus. While there is no air date yet, we can tell you that there are going to be four films in total. It will star Ewan McGregor in his role as the Jedi Master.

What's the Premise?

The Obi Wan series will be a reimagining of the classic Star Wars films. The first film, to be called 'Kenobi,' is going to begin with Obi Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker being placed in charge of a young girl named Nia. There is no further explanation given other than that this girl is "more than she seems."

Other sources have claimed that there will be a great fight between Obi Wan and Kylo Ren early on in the story. But it's currently unknown if or when this will happen. It's also been said in different reports that Luke is not operating by his old master this time around. With him instead under the guise of "Ben Kenobi.

We shall see once more in the way of official details when it's announced. But we did want to share with you all that the Disney Plus series on Obi Wan Kenobi is going to be epic. As it does not currently have an official title, we are dubbing the show 'Kenobi.'

What's It About?

This series isn't just about one character or a single story. Expect much more than that as this series is going to span across multiple films. We will also learn more about both Luke and Obi Wan Kenobi throughout this time together. The thing this series is going to be most known for is giving us a glimpse into Obi Wan's past. As in, when he actually looks like he did back in 'A New Hope'.

Who's the Villain?

It's unclear if the series will take place well before the original Star Wars films or after. But we do know that Darth Maul doesn't appear at all in this series. The last time we saw his face was during the movie 'The Phantom Menace'.

Also, there is no mention of anyone else from Revenge of the Sith making an appearance in this series. Nor is there mention of a 'The Clone Wars' style story line for Obi Wan either. We will learn more about these things in upcoming months as Disney Plus gets closer to its official launch.

For now, it sounds like we will be getting a fully fleshed out and epic Obi Wan Kenobi story coming to Disney Plus. This series will have more than one season.
