HBO is already planning for the second season of its "Harry Potter" TV series, according to network chief Casey Bloys. HBO wants to minimise the timespan between seasons, especially since the child actors are growing. Despite its enormous scope, which precludes it from being an annual release, the second season's script is already in progress.

The show features Dominic McLaughlin as the central character, Harry Potter. Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton portray Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, respectively. The other notable members of the cast include John Lithgow, Paapa Essiedu, Janet McTeer, Nick Frost, Paul Whitehouse, Luke Thallon, Lox Pratt, Bel Powley, Daniel Rigby and Katherine Parkinson.
