Exciting New Trailer for Paramount's "Ebenezer" Unveiled

Paramount Pictures has launched a fresh trailer for "Ebenezer," a unique rendition of "A Christmas Carol" by Ti West, starring Johnny Depp as Scrooge with an uncanny dislike for Christmas. According to the synopsis of "Ebenezer," this movie reveals an untold side to a well-known character. As seen in the trailer, West, famous for his horror trilogy “X,” emphasizes the gloomier aspects of Charles Dickens' coveted story, presenting a Scrooge traumatized by ghastly apparitions and a disturbing live burial scene. The star-studded cast includes Rupert Grint, Andrea Riseborough, Sam Claflin, Daisy Ridley, Arthur Conti, Ellie Bamber, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Charlie Murphy, Tramell Tillman and Ian McKellen.

The film holds significance for Depp, marking his return to Hollywood studio films following his 2022 trial against former wife Amber Heard, wherein both parties accused each other of domestic abuse and slander. Depp was eventually awarded $15 million from Heard and had not appeared in a Hollywood movie since 2018’s “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” following his exit from the third "Fantastic Beasts” movie called “The Secrets of Dumbledore,” released in 2022.

"Ebenezer" is scheduled for theater release on Nov. 13, under Paramount Pictures. Following this, Depp will be seen in Lionsgate's thriller "Day Drinker" co-starring Madelyn Cline and Penélope Cruz, set for a March 2027 release.
