First Look at "Avatar: Seven Havens" Unveiled at San Diego Comic Con
- Aug 2, 2025
This week, Nickelodeon ignited fan excitement at San Diego Comic Con as it released a tantalizing first look at the much-anticipated animated series, “Avatar: Seven Havens.” Serving as a sequel to the widely loved shows “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra,” “Seven Havens” promises to be an engrossing new chapter in the “Avatar” universe.
The unveil came as part of the “Avatar’s” 20th anniversary celebration. The artwork presents a glimpse at the new Avatar, an Earthbending twin who comes into her own after discovering her unique control over the four elements - air, water, earth, and fire.
“Avatar: Seven Havens," unfolds in a world ravaged by a massive catastrophe. The protagonist, a young Earthbender, learns that she’s the successor to Korra as the new Avatar. But in this perilous post-apocalyptic era, her title designates her as humanity’s potential undoer, rather than its protector. Hunted by adversaries both mortal and spectral, she and her estranged twin are tasked with unraveling their enigmatic lineage and preventing the last bastions of civilization from collapsing.

A teaser image showcases the young Avatar accompanied by her pet, seemingly half cat, half lemur, journeying through a desert terrain, with a city on the horizon and with an aberrant illumination in the sky.
The panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Avatar” included Janet Varney (Korra), Mae Whitman (Katara), Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack De Sena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Jennie Kwan (Suki), Dante Basco (Zuko), Dee Bradley Baker (Appa), and show creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.
“Avatar: Seven Havens” is but one of the upcoming expansions to the “Avatar” universe. A feature film, "The Legend of Aang: The Last Avatar," is set to enchant audiences in theatres come Oct. 9, 2026, with Eric Nam, Jessica Matten, Roman Zaragoza, Dionne Quan, Steven Yeun, and Dave Bautista as part of the star-studded cast.
