- Mar 28, 2026
Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the forthcoming action-thriller “Apex” where Charlize Theron embodies a mourning woman seeking comfort in Australia's wild. However, her tranquility is disrupted as she fights for life against a fierce adversary, portrayed by Taron Egerton. Eric Bana is also part of the cast.
The trailer previews Theron's journey to Wandarra National Park, getting instructions from Egerton at a gas station. Upon reaching, she finds Egerton's character waiting for her and discovers her gear has been stolen from her truck, with the thief being Egerton himself.
The phrase "Hunt or be hunted" dominates the subsequent scenes featuring a high-speed pursuit where Egerton chases Theron. He gives her the length of a song head start, arming himself with a crossbow. As Theron rushes through the forest and navigates rapids, Egerton continues his relentless pursuit, following her into caves and down cliffs.

The filming of "Apex" took place in New South Wales, including the Blue Mountains. Directed by Baltasar Kormákur and authored by Jeremy Robbins, the movie is a joint production of Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, David Ready for Chernin Entertainment; Ian Bryce for Ian Bryce Productions; and Baltasar Kormákur for RVK Studios. Charlize Theron, A.J. Dix, and Beth Kono also worked under Theron’s Secret Menu banner as producers. The executive producers include Ray Angelic, Will McCance, and Dawn Olmstead.
"Apex" is set to debut worldwide on Netflix on April 24. View the exciting trailer below.
