New Thriller 'The Evil Inside' Bolsters its Star-Studded Cast

Taiwanese cinema veterans Jason King, Zin Yang, and Eugenie Liu have officially been cast in Lingo Hsieh's new thriller, "The Evil Inside". This follows the confirmation of international star Joan Chen's involvement in the film, marking a major milestone as this is her first Taiwanese feature. King, whose career spans to the 1980s, is set to portray Guang, an unsettling evangelical figure who runs a nursing facility with hidden sinister intents. Zin Yang, the recipient of a Taipei Film Award, will be seen as Meiyu, Guang’s blindly loyal accomplice. Two-time Golden Horse nominee, Eugenie Liu, will play the role of Chen's on-screen estranged daughter, Bao. The project is the brainchild of director Lingo Hsieh, rising name in the horror genre, and is being produced by DaSun Pictures, a company known for bringing together Southeast Asian and North American markets collaborations.
