- Aug 25, 2025
The animated comedy series, “South Park,” in its 27th season, will mockingly tackle the Trump administration in the third episode scheduled to air on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 10 p.m.. The show’s official account teased fans with a glimpse into the new episode named “Sickofancy" featuring the well-known character of Towelie, an anthropomorphic towel fond of cannabis, embarking on a journey to Washington. Upon arrival, Towelie encounters hundreds of troops, despite the intimidating military presence and looming thunder clouds, Towelie light-heartedly comments, “This seems like the perfect place for a towel!”

The episode mocks Trump’s call for a massive sweep to cleanse crime and homelessness in D.C., assembling hundreds of troops and federal agents while installing an “emergency commissioner” within the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. Notable actor Alec Baldwin expressed his concerns regarding Trump's actions in Washington in a TikTok video on Aug. 14. He questioned whether Trump might federalize other cities or even sports leagues.
Trump's actions led to legal action from D.C. Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb who sued the administration citing the moves as illegal, infringing on D.C’s rights of self-governance and jeopardizing the safety of the residency. “The Administration’s unlawful actions are an affront to the dignity and autonomy of the 700,000 Americans who call D.C. home," Schwalb stated.
