Netflix has acquired the rights to a 'Victorious' spinoff, titled 'Hollywood Arts'. The streaming service has ordered 26 episodes of the series, which will first air on Netflix in 2026, before later releases on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Daniella Monet will reprise her role as Trina Vega in the series and will serve as an executive producer. The shooting for 'Hollywood Arts' is set to start in the coming weeks in Vancouver.

The show was initially rumored to be in development at Nickelodeon earlier this year. All episodes of the original 'Victorious' are already available on Netflix in the U.S., having pulled in 45 million views since the beginning of 2024. The show is also available on Paramount+.

'Victorious' aired on Nickelodeon from 2010 to 2013 and starred Arianna Grande, Victoria Justice, Leon Thomas III, Matt Bennett, Elizabeth Gillies, and Avan Jogia. Aside from Monet, other additions to the 'Hollywood Arts' cast include Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze, and Martin Kamm. Yvette Nicole Brown is also expected to make a guest appearance.

Monet expressed excitement at the opportunity to reprise her role and work with a 'dynamic' new cast. She related the original series as a 'life-changing experience' for all involved and anticipates creating something significant for viewers to enjoy.

'Victorious' Spinoff 'Hollywood Arts' Confirmed For Netflix Debut

In 'Hollywood Arts', Monet’s character Trina Vega returns to her former high-school as an unqualified substitute teacher, where she finds herself at odds with, yet inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students.

Showrunners for the new series include Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin. Jonathan Judge will direct the pilot episode. Paramount Television Studios is handling production, with Shauna Phelan and Brian Banks overseeing it. 'Hollywood Arts' marks the second spinoff of 'Victorious', following 'Sam & Cat' which aired for one season.

Dan Schneider, the creator of 'Victorious', is not attached to the sequel series following departure from Nickelodeon in 2018 due to multiple allegations of misconduct.
