Jaws

When I was around seven or eight years old, I can still clearly recall seeing Jaws for the first time. Who was I to stop a great white shark fascinated with human flesh from wreaking devastation on screaming children and teenagers, even while it unquestionably instilled in me a phobia of swimming in the ocean?

The Blues Brothers

One of the all-time great soundtracks is from The Blues Brothers. Jake and Elwood, two inmates who are brothers, set off on a "mission from God" to earn money for an orphanage. It will never get old in my heart. It is put together with comedy, music, "petty" criminality, and an ensemble cast.

Clue Clue

The humorous mystery captivates viewers from beginning to end. With the aid of a superb cast of men and women, incredibly intelligent banter, and three different conclusions, there is never a dull moment; you ultimately decide "who done it."

Tremors

Tremors made me wary of setting foot on the ground, much like Jaws did. A rural hamlet must fight for its very life when a group of large, worm-like monsters begins to emerge from underground. Terrifying.

Never gotten married

What to Watch When you’re Feeling Nostalgic

My first celebrity crush was on Drew Barrymore, and it's easy to understand why. She portrays a 23-year-old reporter in Never Been Kissed who goes undercover in a high school to obtain the ideal story. It is a timeless romantic comedy that will warm your heart.

Madagascar

Animation naturally merits a place on my list. We both enjoy watching this movie together, and it makes me miss my siblings. Madagascar is the kind of film that appeals to audiences of all ages. Alex, Marty, Melvin, and Gloria are four animals who erroneously end up in Madagascar after escaping from a New York Zoo.

Ice Age

The movie Ice Age is incredibly touching. In a story that takes place in the Ice Age, a cynical woolly mammoth on its way south makes friends with a chatty sloth and a fearsome saber-tooth tiger in the hopes of bringing a little child back to his parents.

Charlie's Angels

Yes, Drew Barrymore appears in this one as well, but can you really blame me? Charlie's Angles, an adaptation of the TV series of the same name and also starring Bill Murray, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz, follows three private investigators as they strategically employ their abilities to stop the software belonging to a kidnapped billionaire from being stolen.

Fright Night (1985)

Fright Night, a perennial Halloween favorite, has a darkly humorous style that I find compelling. It centers on high school student Charlie Brewster, who suspects that his neighbor is a vampire. With little to no evidence, Charlie must persuade his family and friends that they are in danger.

A League of Their Own

Due to its emphasis on two sisters playing in a professional baseball league, A League of Their Own is a movie that promotes empowerment. It depicts a story of cooperation, family, and love and is set during World War II. It's not as sentimental as it sounds; this film is full of humor and joy.
