13th LMGI Awards Nominees Announced

The Location Managers Guild International awards have recently announced their nominees for the 13th annual ceremony. Nominated movies and shows include "One Battle After Another", "F1", and "Pluribus". The forthcoming ceremony, scheduled for August 22, will take place at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica.

The organization received an unprecedented number of submissions from across the globe, each showcasing the important role of location in augmenting storytelling and filmmaking craft. Celebrated director Paul Thomas Anderson captured his best picture-winning film across nine different California counties, L.A. North Studios, and El Paso, Texas. Meanwhile, Joseph Kosinski availed of Formula 1 racing tracks to film "F1" amidst actual racing events in locations like Silverstone, U.K., Las Vegas, and Abu Dhabi.

The LMGI Awards will laud Location Manager Mike Fantasia with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable work on nearly 40 feature films, including "Top Gun: Maverick", "Killers of the Flower Moon" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming". The Environmental Media Association will also receive the LMGI Humanitarian Award for their initiatives promoting sustainable production within the film and television industry.

13th LMGI Awards Nominees Announced

Chaired by Location Manager Nancy Haecker, the 2026 LMGI Awards Committee will see IngleDodd Media and Erick Weiss of Honeysweet Creative returning as producers for this year's event.

Nominees for the award categories include films like "28 Years Later", "Bugonia", "F1", "One Battle After Another", and "Weapons" in the best contemporary feature film. TV Series like "Landman” - Season 2, “Pluribus”, and “Slow Horses” - Season 5 have been recognized in the best contemporary TV series category. Several location commissions have also been nominated for their exceptional contribution to films and series.
