In the seventh episode of the first season of Bosch, The Legacy, Los Angeles homicide detective Harry Bosch meets with the mother of his late partner. His intention is to give her some pieces of personal property he saved from their home after their murder-suicide.

Season one is marked by a number of major events. In episode seven, Bosch’s search for Janey highlights information that makes him question everything he once believed. He finds himself caught up in something more than just a murder case.

Bosch finds out that his deceased father was associated with some people who had no problem crossing lines to accomplish their goals. Although Harry is just a detective, he ends up becoming embroiled in much more than he bargained for, and must make tough decisions about where to go here.

The man is determined to get through it all and keep his name clear while doing so.

Prominent characters in episode seven include Hieronymus Harry Bosch, Edward Ed Cochran, Sharon McCone, and Robert Fish Fishman. Also making anticipated appearances are Jerry Edgar, Harry's partner, and, Lt. Grace Billets, Harry's boss, Harry’s ex-girlfriend when he was with Hollywood Vice; Rick Jackson, who is Harry’s former partner from vice who works in BHPD; Lt. Otto Keller, BHPD detective supervisor and runs a special team to solve high profile murders under Billets; and Raynard Waits, a homicide detective.
