"Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale" Exclusively on Peacock Next Month

Peacock, the streaming platform, has confirmed that the conclusive movie of the "Downton Abbey" series, "The Grand Finale," will be available to its subscribers from November 7th, following its theatrical release on September 12th. Lauded for its continuity of the beloved TV series, "The Grand Finale" accumulated a global revenue of $100 million, becoming a box office favorite. Fans can enjoy all six seasons of "Downton Abbey" along with the 2019 eponymous movie and its 2022 sequel "A New Era" on the platform.
Tomris Laffly, film critic for Variety, acknowledged the franchise's ongoing theme of preserving Downton's prestige amidst fluctuating times, bringing the family and their domestic help face-to-face with several challenges, eminent guests, narratives of love, death, and even warfare within the Crawley estate. Furthermore, Laffly stressed that maintaining the esteemed 'Downton' integrity, both for the fictional dwelling and the franchise as a whole, was a quintessential task for Fellowes, the creator, striving to develop the characters residing in the manor realistically.

The cast for "The Grand Finale" comprised of Hugh Bonneville, Jim Carter, Michelle Dockery, Paul Giamatti, Elizabeth McGovern, Penelope Wilton, amongst others, and was directed by Simon Curtis. Additionally, Peacock has also scheduled the streaming releases of Bob Odenkirk's action movie "Nobody 2" on November 2nd and the animation "The Bad Guys 2" on November 21st.
