Gossip Girl Season 2 seems to have turned this upscale teen drama into a bit of a comedy with Julien to have seemingly lost her social status at school due to the kerfuffle at the Debutante Ball in episode 1. In episode 2, the site's relevance is being questioned because Gossip Girl didn’t even post about it.

Kate Keller, to avoid looking like she is Gossip Girl now can’t post the video she has of Camille de Haan all because Mike Shubin was there. Mike turns her down when she tries to convince him to send in the tip.

While she is doing this, Monet de Haan introduces a dress code and new rules and comments on how things are going to be under her “rule”. Luna tells Julien that she’s going to show her who is the queen to get her to back off.

Audrey, Aki, and Max, to cover up their relationship, agree that Max should go around like he used to but he can’t because of his loyalty to the relationship the three are in.

Meanwhile, in Gossip Girl Season 2, episode 2, Obi doesn’t want to return to his life and is spending his time with Grace but she eventually makes his return. All the while, Roy Sachs recruits Gideon to help him come off as more conservative to get in better with Iris Byron to win the landscaping contract for a park.

All these parallel arcs make for a good setup for episode 3 of Gossip Girl Season 2.
