Hallmark announces a new love story starring Holland Roden and Niall Matter. The narrative takes place at the iconic Biltmore Estate and revolves around two acquaintances from the Gilded Era who rekindle a deeper connection in the present day. Fans from the original 2023 film, "A Biltmore Christmas," will be delighted to see Jonathan Frakes reprise his role as Winston. The upcoming film forms a part of the Countdown to Christmas 2026.

Shooting starts next month in various prominent locales including the Biltmore Estate, Asheville’s Fine Arts Theatre, Pack’s Tavern, and downtown. The film's direction is in the experienced hands of Dustin Rikert, noted for his work in “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story” and “The Christmas Quest.” Marcy Holland, better known for writing “A Biltmore Christmas,” has penned the script. David O’Donnell serves as the executive producer.

“A Biltmore Christmas” received rave reviews and won the hearts of audiences, becoming an immediate classic, says Michelle Vicary, Hallmark Media’s head of programming. The creative brilliance of Marcy Holland in crafting a captivating romance set at Biltmore is something that audiences are eagerly anticipating. She adds, "We can’t wait for viewers to travel back to Biltmore and fall for this new love story as much as they did the first one.”

Hallmark Returns to Biltmore with Enchanting Love Story

The debut film featured exquisitely shot scenes at the Conservatory, Winter Garden, Tapestry Gallery, Banquet Hall, Billiard Room, and the Library of the Biltmore House. The highlight was the magical hourglass at the library, which transported the characters back in time. The sequel promises to revisit these distinctive sites and introduce viewers to other spectacular locations like Biltmore’s Rooftop, Pergola, Swimming Pool, Bowling Alley, Breakfast Room, Oak Sitting Room, Main Kitchen, Music Room, Mrs. Vanderbilt’s Bedroom. Additional filming locations also feature The Inn on Biltmore Estate, Antler Hill Village, and Biltmore Winery.

The plot of the sequel presents a fascinating adventure in time travel. It follows 13-year-old Elizabeth who meets and forms an immediate connection with fellow teen, Michael, during her Christmas holiday stay at Biltmore House in 1895. After Michael strangely disappears, they reunite 20 years later, and through a magical hourglass, they travel to the present day during a Christmas vacation. Amidst their struggles to travel back in time without arousing suspicions, Elizabeth and Michael form a close bond and face the tough decision of choosing their destinies when the time comes to return to 1915.
