Jacob Chase, who marvelously directed 'Insidious: Out of the Further', is all set to embark upon another horror venture, 'Sleepover.' This scary project, brought to life by Blumhouse Atomic Monster and Universal Pictures, is aptly coined as the 'quintessential sleepover nightmare.' Fans can anticipate its theatrical release on October 8, 2027. The directorial mastery of Chase will collaborate with the literary acumen of Bryce McGuire, the 'Night Swim' screenwriter. The horror flick is adapted from an original short story penned by McGuire.

Blumhouse Atomic Monster, teaming up with Sony, has previously showcased Chase's brilliance with 'Insidious: Out of the Further'. This sixth addition to the 'Insidious' series made its successful debut recently with a robust worldwide collection of $60 million. Jacob Chase, whose directorial portfolio also includes 'Come Play', compares scaring people to performing magic tricks – it's all about surprising the audience with a mix of misdirection and surprise, he told Variety.
