Meanwhile, the police show up at John B’s place, wanting to talk. He and JJ hideout and the sheriff eventually leaves, but not before leaving a tracker on their car. At the same time, Ward is still kicking about, this time laying low by the river. He’s taking drastic measures and has decided not to give the company to Rafe after all. In fact, he has a document to confirm it’s going to Rose instead.

Rafe holds his father up at gunpoint, who’s convinced that he won’t shoot. Although Rafe does fire, he doesn’t aim at his dad, instead pointing away before eventually leaving. Naturally, Rafe decides to approach Barry, asking him for help in doing what he couldn’t do himself.

Sarah leaves to visit Topper, who is exercising in the gym. He wants exact revenge. Also, he is filing charges, but he needs Sarah to speak in his defense against John B. She agrees to do so, mainly under pressure, but whether she actually follows through on it is a different story. In a bind, Sarah decides to visit Ward and ask him for assistance.

Following JJ's example, John B is successful in getting them a vacation to South America. A drug drop at a house on Prospect requires the two to drive a U-Haul truck up to Elizabeth City, which is regrettably part of the job. If they can accomplish that and return before

The couple immediately begins acting suspiciously while driving, and they eventually end up fleeing from police authorities. When they appear to be alone, the couple begins grappling right before the sheriff arrives. He is not there to discuss the rail heist or the police car's glass smashing. He is actually coming to arrest John B since, allegedly, the attack on Topper is of far more significance. As if that weren't enough, a U-Haul truck with cocaine is also uncovered.

Singh gets closer to their target as they travel along Venezuela's Orinoco Delta. He looks for a means to escape while Big John is still under his care. But it doesn't seem feasible.
Sarah addresses the group and informs them that she has arranged a flight to South America when John B is released without being charged. Ward has consented to let them use his jet, which is how this manifests itself. Sarah is taken aback by the way the gang has embraced her once more. Despite having told Topper she would be with him, Sarah instead chooses John B and begins kissing him. Naturally, Topper appears after Rafe stirs everything up and witnesses everything. Topper takes gasoline and sets the house on fire after feeling misled and angry. Topper leaves while the building is on fire.

Season 3 of Outer Banks is now streaming on Netflix.
