Hollywood's proven comedy star Owen Wilson is reuniting with previous "Meet the Parents" ensemble members Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, and Teri Polo, for the next episode of the franchise. The film will also introduce popstar Ariana Grande to the mix. The renowned John Hamburg, scribe of the past three flicks, is once again onboard to pen and helm the project. Hamburg has also directed two episodes of Wilson’s newest TV gig “Stick.” Universal is planning a theatrical release for the film on November 25, 2026 while Paramount Pictures is posed to co-produce and manage international distribution.

The plot for this fourth venture remains a mystery. However, an intriguing hint was dropped by the producer Jane Rosenthal in a Variety cover story: it hinted at Stiller's character aging to the same as De Niro's from the first film, and that now it is his kids who have to face the challenge of meeting the parents.
