Ilonka and Kevin open Episode 3 of The Midnight Club in the hallway. She is still in disbelief about what happened. Kevin concludes that their medications are to blame and that she is not the only one who has had abnormalities. Ilonka skips past this final step and makes the decision to return to her room, this time carrying the paperwork.

It's interesting to note that some of the sketches include the well-known hourglass motifs. Additionally, there are a handful of dates, with 292-13 having special meaning for Ilonka.

These symbols appear to be a nod to the cult that formerly occupied these premises. Ilonka wakes up abruptly from a terrifying dream and queries Anya about the symbol. She is certain that she has seen it within the house, but she is unsure of where.

We get a good look at each of the kids as individuals, including their complex and occasionally tumultuous home life. Kevin's mother is adamant about encouraging his brother Morgan to carry on Kevin's heritage. Tim is reassured by Anya that everything is well within Brightcliffe and that everyone looks out for one another, and she truly does an excellent job of doing so.

Family day passes as Natsuki makes her way to see Tristan. Unfortunately, she is no longer with us. The children all gather to pay their respects in silence as Dr. Stanton descends to the basement with Tris' body. Natsuki is the one who is most affected out of all the children, especially because she has always read to Tris.

Ilonka and Kevin meet up again in Julia's room to discuss Julia's designs. She is determined to discover the significance of the numbers and the hourglass because she thinks they are significant.
