Christopher Nolan's new film, "The Odyssey," has received its first glowing review coming from an unexpected source - his brother Jonathan Nolan. Jonathan, a co-creator of "Westworld" and an executive producer on "Fallout", described his brother’s forthcoming epic as a "spectacular" and "tremendous" accomplishment.

"I'm not part of 'The Odyssey,' but I have watched 'The Odyssey.' It’s an extraordinary film," Jonathan noted. "I had an interest in the 'Iliad' and 'The Odyssey' as a young man. I have had engaging chats with Chris about his vision for it. It's an incredible film. I'm unsure whether I'm supposed to divulge that, but it indeed is splendid.”

Both brothers are acclaimed filmmakers and have often collaborated together in the past. They co-wrote several hit movies such as "The Prestige," "The Dark Knight," "The Dark Knight Rises," and "Interstellar" based on Jonathan's short story.

The upcoming film, "The Odyssey," features Matt Damon in the lead role as Odysseus, and Tom Holland as his son, Telemachus. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal.

Damon, who previously worked with Nolan on "Interstellar" and "Oppenheimer," praised Nolan's groundbreaking work in shooting "The Odyssey" solely with Imax cameras, a first for a Hollywood feature film. Nolan had expressed his interest in adapting Homer’s Greek epic into a film in an interview with Empire magazine, stating the film offered a unique opportunity to do something unseen in modern Hollywood.

"The Odyssey" will release in theaters July 17, and is expected to be a significant production in the Hollywood landscape.
