- Aug 18, 2026
Opening to remarkable numbers, new thriller "The Last House", featuring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, sets off with an impressive 27.5 million views in its first trio of streaming days on Netflix. The movie confidently navigated to the highest position of Netflix's viewership chart for the week commencing Aug. 3-9, clinching the top spot not just as the most watched English movie, but as the top viewed title across all categories. The following spot was secured by "72 Hours", a new comedy starring Kevin Hart, which attracted 11.1 million views during its third week in the chart. Additionally, "Spider-Man: Far from Home" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" claimed the subsequent two spots, likely empowered by the theatrical debut of "Spider-Man: Brand-New Day" on July 31.

In the TV section, "The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare" maintained its reign as the highest viewed title for a second consecutive week, drawing 10.6 million views after an initial strong debut of 18.2 million views the preceding week. Making an entrance right on its tail was Season 3 of "My Life With the Walter Boys", which amassed 9 million views in its initial four days. For the second week running, "The Bombing of Pan Am 103" attained the third position.
