Warner Bros. has lined up a series of worldwide events to commemorate nearly 25 years since the first “Harry Potter” movie bewitched audiences globally for this year's Back to Hogwarts celebration. This yearly tradition taking place on Sept. 1, has grown into a juggernaut of an international event, featuring theatrical re-releases, digital tie-ups, and fan experiences across various continents.

The main attraction of the 2025 celebrations is a limited global re-release of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” for its 20th anniversary. In the U.S, fans can enjoy the Triwizard Tournament spectacle via the official ticketing partner, Fandango.com, which promises several promotional giveaways. International regions, including Canada, EMEA, and other markets, will join in the cinematic release.

A collaboration between Warner Bros. and Snap Inc. is set to produce four new 3D Harry Potter Bitmoji Lenses launching in mid-August. These interactive filters will enable Snapchat users worldwide to place their Bitmojis into classic scenes from the franchise.

Region-specific activities are lined up across all major markets. For instance, Cineworld Leicester Square in London will conduct a free screening of “Goblet of Fire” on Aug. 31, with a live Q&A session featuring James and Oliver Phelps, with TV presenter Yinka Bokinni moderating the event. The function will also offer photo opportunities with props from Warner Bros. Studio Tour London and prizes from Lego and The Noble Collection.

For example, Paris will convert the Sainte-Geneviève Library into a Harry Potter-themed educational event complete with interactive quizzes and a distinctive dictation session. Hamburg will see a three-day celebration, and ten Thalia bookstores across Germany will run Potter-themed promotions.

Asia-Pacific is not forgotten, with Saitama Seibu Lions baseball games in Tokyo featuring a Harry Potter collaboration. Shanghai will showcase “Prisoner of Azkaban” and “Goblet of Fire” concerts while Hangzhou has scheduled a West Lake District celebration.
