Matching leather on date night: actress and rocker keep the rumours alive
- Nov 4, 2026
Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly are dressing like a couple, even if they still won't say they are one.
The actress, 37, and the rocker, 36, stepped out for dinner at Casaléna, a Mediterranean restaurant in Calabasas, California, on Tuesday night, Nov. 3, Harper's Bazaar reported. And they came in coordinating leather.
Bundled up against the evening chill, the pair were all smiles as they waited for their car at the valet stand afterwards, according to E! News.
TMZ, which got the photos, said they "look like they're falling for each other". In one shot Johnson is beaming up at the 6'4" singer.
The $1,850 jacket
Johnson wore a black zip-up leather jacket from Dôen with a tan shearling collar, which Bazaar says retails for $1,850. She paired it with baggy ripped jeans, a vintage leopard-print Prada tote, black ballet flats and a messy top knot pinned up with a red claw clip.
Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, went for a studded black leather biker jacket from Sp5der over a slouchy hoodie, with baggy orange sweatpants, white Vans and a bubblegum-pink bandana to match the lettering on his jacket.
It's not the first time they've been spotted together. Far from it.
The pair reportedly hit it off at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, and have been seen out several times since July, according to Bazaar.
Milan, Hollywood, Calabasas
E! News counts a string of joint outings: New York on Sept. 12, nearly a month after Johnson's split from Role Model was confirmed, then Milan on Sept. 22, where she supported him at Vogue World.
On Oct. 14 they arrived together at Say Yes, a speakeasy in Hollywood. Later that month TMZ reported they were seen at a recording studio and at the Chateau Marmont, then together again the next morning. Now there's dinner in Calabasas.
Johnson has a type, and she knows it. Before Role Model, she dated Coldplay frontman Chris Martin from 2017 until 2025.
In a Vogue interview published Sept. 18, she admitted she knows a lot of musicians. "They like me. I don't know what to say," she said. Asked what's not to like, she shot back: "A lot! A lot."
She was still joking about it when she hosted Saturday Night Live on Oct. 4, poking fun at always dating musicians.
As for the gossip, she has said she doesn't bother correcting it. "I also don't care," she said on a podcast in September.
The pair reportedly bonded over a "dry and dark sense of humor", and are still in "the dating phase" and "aren't ready to go official yet", according to a report last month.
Neither Johnson nor Machine Gun Kelly has commented publicly on the relationship.
