'I was a little on the fence': Oscar winner, 58, becomes a dad again
- Nov 4, 2026
Jamie Foxx is a dad again at 58.
The Oscar winner and his girlfriend, fitness instructor Alyce Huckstepp, 31, have welcomed their first baby together, sources confirmed to People on Wednesday, Nov. 4. It's Foxx's third child.
And he admits he took some convincing. "Being my age, I was a little on the fence," he told E! News.
What changed his mind? A chance meeting with Al Pacino, 86, who became a dad again in 2023. Foxx said he asked the Godfather star whether he'd really be back in the school drop-off line, and came away fine with the idea, E! reported.
The couple have kept the details close. The baby's sex and exact date of birth haven't been revealed, USA Today reported, and Foxx's representatives didn't respond to its request for comment.
News of the pregnancy broke in May, when Huckstepp was said to be several months along, and she showed off her bump in Los Angeles later that month, People reported.
On, off and on again
The romance goes back to May 2022, when the pair were spotted kissing on a yacht in Cannes, according to People.
She stood by him through his health scare in 2023. "Alyce is a sweetie, a great girl," a source told the magazine at the time.
They split in January 2025 after about three years of keeping things mostly private, Page Six reported then. But by August 2025 they were back together and spotted out in Los Angeles.
Before Huckstepp, Foxx dated Katie Holmes for six years until 2019.
Huckstepp is Australian, and Foxx has told the Daily Mail he'd "of course" be open to moving the family Down Under. "Imma find a place," he said. E! reported the couple had planned their family with her Australian roots in mind.
Two grown-up daughters
The new baby joins two big sisters: Corinne, 32, from Foxx's relationship with Connie Kline, and Anelise, from his relationship with Kristin Grannis.
Corinne played a huge part in his recovery after a brain bleed in 2023 caused a stroke that left him unconscious for 20 days, which he talked about in his 2024 Netflix special, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…. She has said she focused on his recovery and didn't feel it was her place to share his medical details.
He has recalled his doctor telling him: "Man, your daughter saved your life." And: "She's the reason that you're here."
Fatherhood has always been his favourite role. Back in 2017, Foxx said the best part was hearing his daughters call him "dad" and "watching them light up when you come into a room."
More than three decades after Corinne was born, there's a third little one to light up for him.
