
Ariana Grande and Josh Gad Join the Cast of 'Oh, The Places You'll Go'

Grammy-winning artist Ariana Grande and Broadway star Josh Gad have been cast in the upexpected movie adaptation of Dr. Seuss's "Oh, The Places You'll Go." This animated musical version of the beloved book is set to be directed by "Wicked" filmmakers Jon M. Chu and Jill Culton, and is slated to be released by Warner Bros. on March 17, 2028.
The storyline of the movie has not been disclosed yet. However, the original book upon which the film is based follows a youthful adventurer grappling with life's highs and lows, instilling readers with motivational lines such as "You can steer yourself any direction you choose". It has become a favored present for graduates and those experiencing a turning point in life.
The songwriting team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, best known for their work on "Dear Evan Hansen" and "The Greatest Showman," will be penning original tracks for the film. Further casting announcements will follow, potentially including more musical talents.

Grande is set to reconnect with Chu after their successful collaboration on "Wicked: Part One.". Besides this, the singer and actress is expected to continue her role as Glinda the Good in the upcoming "Wicked: For Good" and has been recently added to the cast of "Meet the Parents 4".
Gad, on the other hand, has a long history in animation, having famously voiced Olaf in Disney’s “Frozen” franchise. His theatre credits include Elder Cunningham in the enduring Broadway smash “The Book of Mormon" and LeFou in the live-action version of "Beauty and the Beast".
Director Chu has established a prosperous filmmaking partnership with Warner Bros., having already collaborated on hits like “Crazy Rich Asians” and “In the Heights." His bustling upcoming film roster includes a vast range of projects such as a "Hot Wheels" live-action film, a Play Doh-themed animated feature, a Britney Spears biographical film, and another musical adaptation, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
