A Cup of Happy Productions, under the leadership of Daryl Steiger, has obtained the film rights to "First Time Caller," B.K. Borison's successful romance novel from 2025. The plot of the novel parallels the beloved "Sleepless in Seattle," with a tale of a passionate romantic falling for a cynical radio host. The production team consists of Laura Lewis, producer of the "Tell Me Lies," who will handle the production through her Rebelle Media banner, along with Amy Huckabay, tasked with transforming the novel into a screenplay. Additionally, the author, B.K. Borison, will serve as an executive producer for the project.

The first book of Borison's much-anticipated Heartstrings trilogy, "First Time Caller," sees Aiden Valentine, a romance hotline host in Baltimore, facing a dilemma of falling out of love with the very concept of love. A young girl's call to the show seeking dating advice for her mother unexpectedly goes viral, propelling Aiden and Heartstrings into the public eye. Under this close scrutiny, single mom Lucie Stone starts doubting her own happiness and contemplating the appeal of romance. With a llama of sudden attention and newfound emotions towards the man behind the headset, Lucie is left to decide her own path to happiness.
