Blumhouse ushered in a dramatic revelation at CinemaCon with a sneak peek into its adaptation of the iconic Universal monsters saga, 'Wolf Man'. Featuring the talented Christopher Abbott, 'Wolf Man' introduces a man trying to defend his family from a dangerous predator. Intriguingly, the preview hints that Abbott's character might, in fact, be that predator.

The preview unveils chilling atmospheric scenes of a terrified family enveloped in darkness. A poignant exchange between Abbott's character and his daughter leave audiences on edge, further intensified by a foreboding bite mark on the man's arm, indicating a potential transformation into the 'Wolf Man'.

Leigh Whannell, of 'Saw' fame, helms this project. He has previously breathed new life into Universal's classic monster characters with the hugely successful 'The Invisible Man', gathering a hefty $144.4 million globally. Whannell takes on the dual role of writer and director for this project, which at one point was considering Ryan Gosling in the starring role. Also starring is Julia Garner, with an anticipated release date of January 17, 2025.

Wolf Man (2024) — Trailer Review

Blumhouse wasn't done with just one reveal. An intense trailer for 'Speak No Evil', a remake of a Danish film featuring James McAvoy, was also showcased. The film, due for release on September 13, encapsulates a family's dream weekend turning into a horrifying nightmare. The idea of the remake ignited after Blumhouse founder Jason Blum was captivated by the original Danish film, 'Gaesterne'.

Blumhouse is bustling with activity at CinemaCon, as its partner Lionsgate announced a new adaptation of the 'Blair Witch Project' movie and various other iconic Lionsgate horror titles.
