Wiebke von Carolsfeld’s “Someone’s Daughter” takes viewers to Quebec's Eastern Townships. The high-concept thriller unfolds as a defense attorney and her ex-client find themselves stranded in the wilderness by the father of a young girl who lost her trial against the man who allegedly raped her. The dire circumstances force the pair to confront their roles in the woman's demise.
"Los Vampires” by Craig Mitchell delves into the behind-the-scenes dynamics during the production of George Melford’s 1931 Spanish-language adaptation of “Dracula.” Actor Luis de Ossorio is cast to play Count Vlad, and as he watches the day's footage of his English-language counterpart, Hans Orlov, the production slowly morphs into a psychological nightmare.
