The next installment in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ epic Monsterverse series will be titled “Godzilla X Kong: Supernova.” The announcement came on Friday, concurrent with the news that the much-anticipated sequel has started production. The film is set to hit cinema screens on March 26, 2027.

A brief preview of the series was also unveiled. It features an office belonging to Monarch, the clandestine organization charged with the tracking of the colossal, metropolitan levelers known as Titans. The teaser also discloses a real hotline number that enthusiasts can dial to access an automated message. The phone number appropriately reads (240) MON-ARCH, or 240-666-2724 in numerical terms.

The automated message upon calling the number offers thanks for reaching out to the Monarch Community Support Hotline, emphasizing the importance of public participation in reporting Titan sightings to ensure global safety.

“Supernova” stands as the sixth film in the hugely popular Monsterverse franchise that follows the successful 2024 release, “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire.” Actor Dan Stevens will be reprising his role as Trapper, accompanied by a fresh ensemble include Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Sam Neill.

Although the teaser doesn’t give away much, it features a call originating from Sedona, Arizona. Diehard fans may recognize this as the city where the arachnid-like beast Scylla was awoken in “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” during the summoning of Titans from around the world by the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah for a colossal duel with Godzilla. There are also a few fun details in the teaser, such as a Godzilla bobblehead and a mug placed on the desk that reads “Keep Kong and Carry On.”
