Music continues to dominate the cinematic world with the upcoming film, "Rolling Loud: The Movie," expected to make waves in 2026. The movie thrives on the backdrop of a buzzing music festival, promising a deluge of riveting moments.

Directed by well-known filmmaker Jeremy Garelick, whose credentials boast fine screen pieces like "The Wedding Ringer" and "Murder Mystery 2", the film charts the wild journey of a father, played by Owen Wilson, and his teenage son, played by Christian Convery, into the vibrant world of a hip-hop music festival. In an interesting twist, Garelick's real-life son Zion is accredited with a contribution to the story, as the narrative embraces their true experiences at the music festival.

According to Garelick, the film delved deep into his own adventurous visit with Zion to the Rolling Loud festival in 2022, when Zion was only thirteen years old. A mélange of real-life happenings from that festival experience is deeply intertwined in the plot of the film, which brewed grounds for Zion's writing credit. In Garelick's words, his son's profound involvement and passion for the music and the festival spurred the creation of the film.

The narrative similarity includes Zion's initiative to convince his parents to let him attend the festival – a crisp PowerPoint presentation that mirrored the one made by his character in the film. Garelick warmly recalls his son's dedication and shares that he had never seen him so zealous about something before.

The film also stars actors like Christine Ko, Matt Rife, Olivia Luccardi, Henry Winkler, and features performances from real hip-hop artists like Travis Scott, Sexyy Red, and Ty Dolla Sign. The Rolling Loud music festival, which forms the foundation of this film, has been a stage for memorable performances by global icons like Kanye West and Nicki Minaj.

With "Rolling Loud: The Movie", Garelick hopes to engrave his heartfelt festival experience with his son on the big screen. The memory of their adventurous and passionate journey comes alive in theaters from October 2.
