Jon Bernthal is set to reprise his role as the vigilante Punisher, otherwise known as Frank Castle, in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day." This marks the latest collaboration between Sony and Marvel. Bernthal initially debuted as Punisher in Netflix's preeminent 2016 series “Daredevil,” capturing fans' hearts before headlining his self-titled spin-off series “The Punisher” the next year. Recently, he resurrected his role for the Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again.” Fans can anticipate his comeback in the show's second season and a 2026 Disney+ special focusing on the Punisher directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” represents the fourth venture featuring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, following the succession of Jon Watts’ “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017), “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019), and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021).

Plot particulars for the fourth installment are still undisclosed. However, audiences can look forward to "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" hitting theaters on July 31, 2026. Holland excitedly hinted at a fresh start following a significant cliffhanger in the series during a video message at CinemaCon.
