The character, C. Sankaran Nair, portrayed by Kumar, uses elaborate theatrics and powerful speeches to revolt against British policies. This takes place even in the face of warnings from characters like a judge who seems to miss that grand dramatisations are a fundamental aspect of Indian cinema's favored genre-legal drama.
