"Broken Ones," a new legal thriller from writer-director Timothy Gagliardo, is set to star Terrence Howard, Guillermo Iván, and Kate Bosworth. The film is inspired by the memoir of producer and co-writer Alejandro Zavala and delves into real-life experiences in the criminal justice system and the legal profession. The narrative focuses on redemption, justice, family, and the consequential decisions that shape an individual's life.
In the film, Ivyán portrays Joseph Santiago, a former criminal who discovers a corporate conspiracy while researching a car accident for a victim's family. Howard assumes the role of Benjamin Drake, a respected lawyer intent on delivering justice to the extremely wealthy. Bosworth takes on the role of Kathleen Sloane, a corporate defense lawyer faced with a moral dilemma when her clients demand the impossible.
In relation to the film's themes, Howard expressed, "This film poses the question of our actions' purpose. Are we acting to provide for ourselves, or are we acting to aid others? The film humanely delves into these ponderings."

"Real Ones," a companion film also based on Zavala’s memoir, is currently in the pipeline. Howard, popularly known for his role in "Iron Man" and "Hustle & Flow," led the cast of the Emmy-nominated drama series "Empire." Kate Bosworth, known for her character Lois Lane in "Superman Returns," recently appeared in the thriller "The Immaculate Room," while Iván is set for upcoming films "Exorcist Archives" and "As Good as Dead 2."
"Broken Ones" is produced by Alejandro Zavala, Justin Nesbitt, Micah Brandt for UFO Pictures, and Michael Pizzimenti for Al Bravo Films. Additional details about the release date and further casting will be communicated soon.
