
"Mimics": A Fresh Spin on Fame and Supernatural by Kristoffer Polaha

Panoramic Pictures has announced the acquisition of the film "Mimics" directed by Kristoffer Polaha, which is set for release on February 6, 2026. This film marks an important milestone in Polaha's career as it's his first venture behind the camera as a director.
"Mimics" portrays an intriguing storyline that combines the elements of fame and paranormal activities while managing to retain a sense of humor, romance, and thrill. Polaha, who also stars in the movie as a struggling artist named Sam Reinhold, finds his character wrestling with a mischievous puppet named Fergus, leading to a significant boost in his career at the cost of his well-being.
The cast of "Mimics" boasts of talent including popular singer Mōriah, Chris Parnell, Stephen Tobolowsky, Jesse Hutch, Jason Marsden, and Austin Basis. The film was unveiled initially at the Cordillera International Film Festival and was a Nook Lane Entertainment production under Ken Carpenter, in collaboration with Polaha. Additional production credits go to Adam Karm and Ben Wagner from Podunk Productions and AKA Productions.

Carpenter expressed his faith in Polaha's skills as a director, recounting their successful collaborations in the past. He applauded Polaha's ability to blend comedy, romance, and horror elements into a captivating and cohesive storyline. He looks forward to movie-goers immersing themselves in the world of “Mimics”.
Michael Scott, CEO of Panoramic Pictures, also expressed his optimism for the film. According to him, the engaging narrative put together by Polaha, Carpenter, and their team will provide entertainment in a timely manner, and he eagerly anticipates its theatrical release in February.
