"Mother Mary": A24 Debuts Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel's Music Drama

A24 has recently unveiled the official trailer for the much anticipated music drama, “Mother Mary,” starring Anne Hathaway along with Michaela Coel. David Lowery, the mind behind “The Green Knight” and “A Ghost Story,” is the director and writer of this intriguing narrative.
"Mother Mary" introduces Hathaway as a sought-after pop star who leaves her music tour mid-way due to a sudden existential crisis. In her quest for self-discovery, she reconnects with her old ally and renowned fashion designer, Sam, characterized by Coel, who plays a pivotal role in shaping her star identity.
The film treats music enthusiasts with original tracks composed by formidable industry names like Jack Antonoff, Charli xcx, and FKA Twigs. The latter also holds a role in the film. Other members on the impressive cast list include Hunter Schafer, Atheena Frizzell, Kaia Gerber, Jessica Brown Findlay, Alba Baptista, and Sian Clifford.

In a July Vogue cover story, Hathaway described her challenging journey of molding into the character of Mother Mary, emphasizing her dedication to deliver a performance that resonates with authenticity and depth.
