Focus Features has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming film, “Song Sung Blue". The movie, directed by Craig Brewer, will make its debut in cinemas across the country on Christmas Day. The musical drama features a star-studded cast that includes Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as a married duo who form a Neil Diamond tribute band. Other noteworthy talent in the film are Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, Fisher Stevens, and Jim Belushi, with Brewer also responsible for the screenplay.
The film’s narrative is based on the 2008 documentary by Greg Koh and shares the same title. It chronicles the real-life story of Mike and Claire Sardina, a couple from Milwaukee who were struggling musicians but turned into local sensations through their performance as a Neil Diamond tribute act called Lightning & Thunder. The film's title is also inspired by a Neil Diamond track from 1972.
Brewer is producing the movie along with John Davis and John Fox for Davis Entertainment, while Erika Hampson and Greg Kohs serve as executive producers.

Jackman, known for his roles in films like “Deadpool and Wolverine”, “Les Misérables”, “X-Men”, “Logan”, "The Greatest Showman", and others, has done commendably well in his recent performances. On the other hand, Kate Hudson, who played the lead in the Netflix comedy series “Running Point,” has also received significant acclaim for her roles in movies including “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”, “Almost Famous”, “Bride Wars”, and “Fools Gold”, among others.
