This year's hit romantic comedy from the SXSW Film Festival, "I Really Love My Husband," is now under the wing of indie distributor Entertainment Squad. The acclaimed feature, penned and directed by G.G. Hawkins, is an exploration of contemporary love and the challenges of a claustrophobia-stricken honeymoon. The film has been acquired for international release by Shaked Berenson's boutique firm, which is planning a U.S. theatrical debut for late 2025 and has scheduled the launch of global territory sales during the Cannes Film Festival next week.

The movie stars Madison Lanesey, Travis Quentin Young, Arta Gee, and Lisa Jacqueline Starrett and has garnered critical acclaim for its candid, unvarnished glimpse into a relationship and biting humor. Currently, the film boasts an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 92% based on 12 reviews.

Hawkins shared her delight at SXSW audiences' positive reception to the film, stating, "We aimed to bring to life the marvelous chaos of disordered relationships - the humor, the agony, the awkwardness - all against the striking backdrop of Bocas del Toro, Panamá."

Producer Elle Roth-Brunet echoed Hawkins' sentiments, describing the film as "…a well-known fantasy twisted into a dark, startling, and sincere dramedy filled with sharpness and sentiment."

The comedic gem, originating from Night Breeze Productions, was produced by Roth-Brunet and co-produced by Natalie LeVeck, Jenna Mackey, Michael Polk, and Maria Laura Ventura, with executive inputs from Janek Ambros, Diane Brunet, Andrea Kent, and Peter Kent.
