Stranger Things' Finale to Premiere in 500+ Theaters
- Dec 9, 2025
In a revolutionary event, Netflix's global smash hit "Stranger Things" will have its series finale screened in over 500 theaters in both the U.S. and Canada. Netflix confirmed these locations and also announced that the finale screening would commence on the eve of New Year's 2026, at 5 p.m. PT, and run until the onset of the year. With a duration of 2 hours and 5 minutes, the finale promises to be a spectacle.
Viewers interested in attending the screenings can check out the full roster of participating theaters at www.st5finale.com. Here, they can find instructions to RSVP for the screening. However, direct ticket sales for the finale screenings will not be available. Instead, fans will purchase concession vouchers from exhibitors which will secure them seating. As a result, theater owners will be the primary beneficiaries of the screening revenues.
The decision to screen the series finale in cinemas was sparked after immense fan demand and was confirmed by Netflix in October. This monumental move marks Netflix's first theater screening where they will not secure any box office returns.

The fifth and final season of "Stranger Things" has debuted its first four episodes. The subsequent three episodes will air on Christmas Day, while the grand finale will invade both Netflix's digital platform and physical theaters on New Year's Eve.
"Stranger Things" has consistently stayed on Netflix's popular radar since its inception. Prior to season 5's premiere, all four of its predecessors simultaneously reappeared on Netflix's Top 10 list - a first for any series. This grand exit from the 'Upside Down' is sure to stir fans worldwide.
