The Old West

Jimmy
Jimmy

Down at the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas, Jimmy is getting the most traditional experience a cowboy can get.

That goes for horse breeding as well. He’s made to hold the sperm containers for sixteen different stallions they need to collect specimens for.

But the good news is that he gets a new date out of it! I guess Mia might be officially out of the picture? The last time we saw her, she packed her bags up and left the Yellowstone. Let’s hope she wasn’t packing up to head to Texas…

The Bunkhouse Boys

Teeter isn’t necessarily a boy, but she’s as much a part of the bunkhouse as the rest of them. She begs John and Rip for her job back, since she’s the hardest working wrangler.

John was surprised to learn that she does have a Yellowstone brand on her chest and so she’s allowed to stay.

Lloyd and Walker are both a little worse for wear after the beatdown from last episode. But it seems Rip may have knocked some sense into Lloyd because he goes to a pawn shop to trade in his prized rode belt buckle for a brand new guitar for Walker.

The Livestock Commission

Avery
Avery

Kayce, Monica, and Tate are enjoying the quiet life on their new farm. But it seems like Monica is still stewing and jealous over the looks Kayce and Avery exchanged last episode.

Kayce and Mo round up the stole mustangs and return them to Avery–who admits to Kayce that she loved him at first sight. But Kayce is adamant that he’s faithful to Monica.

The Land Development

Beth
Beth

Beth has her first day at Market Equities and she is large and in charge. She fires her new assistant on the spot. And joins in on a meeting unannounced, learning that the first phase of the development is the road and infrastructure on her father’s land. The wheels start turning to stop it.

As she’s driving back through town, she sees Summer and her group of animal rights protestors yelling outside a boutique store. She criticizes Summer’s weak attempts at “making a difference” and informs her of ME’s land plans that would actually endanger the wildlife ecosystem in Montana.

A New Wave of Government

Montana Governor, Lynelle, stops by the ranch to tell John she’s running for the Senate in DC. She wants to put Jamie up to replace her, but John decides to run instead to prevent Jamie from holding that seat. Beth agrees with him.

So Beth and John show up at the state capitol building for the announcement of Lynelle endorsing her next successor, much to Jamie’s surprise. As Lynelle announces it to the press, Jamie gets ready to go down the stairs until he realizes John’s name as been called.

“I am the opposite of progress,” John declares as his platform.
