UFC Vegas 46

UFC is back with the 2022 opener in Vegas this Saturday with UFC Card 46 and a featherweight headliner. Here’s who’s fighting.

155 lbs.: Dakota Bush vs. Viacheslav Borshchev

Bush is 8-3 and Borshchev is 5-1 coming into this fight. Borschchev won four of his five MMA victories via knockout.

Bush relies more on athleticism than technical footwork while Borshchev is a heavy striker with his boxing background. But Bush will still likely have a hard time trying to hold him down.

135 lbs.: Brian Kelleher vs. Saidyokub Kakhramonov

Kelleher comes in at 23-12 and 4-2 with his last 6 UFC fights. He’s also considerably smaller than Kakhramonov with less of a reach.

9-2, his opponent is good at winning by submission as well as knockout. It’s not the closest fight, but it might be the most competitive and interesting of the evening. Kakhramonov’s sheer power and size will be hard to stop, but Kelleher is relentless.

115 lbs.: Silvana Gomez Juarez vs. Vanessa Demopoulos

Juarez is 10-3 and Demopoulos 6-4. Demopoulos doesn’t have a strong wrestling or grappling background though, she’s usually relying on whatever skills to stay off the ground. Although Jaurez isn’t the best at takedowns either, she’s arguably faster and heavier with her fist.
