Home Gym Equipment at CES 2021

Check out these Home Fitness gadgets from CES 2021

Vault

If you like writing about consumer electronics, you could probably write articles for a month following CES every year, talking about the latest trends, coolest gadgets, and most ridiculously expensive tech on display at the show. One area that hasn’t always received as much attention in years past is home workout equipment. But, with the pandemic forcing so many people to work and work out from home, the industry certainly received a big boost in 2020, and that interest is reflected in the new products unveiled at CES 2021.

One trend that flows through a lot of the products is the level of connectivity, with professional trainers and/or other consumers. This community aspect has been growing across various home fitness products in recent years (Peloton, etc.) and we see even more of it this year.

Here are some of the interesting new home fitness products from CES 2021, that you might want to consider adding to your home gym this year.

NordicTrack Vault

Vault

This product combines elements of fitness ‘screens’ like Mirror and Tempo, which also comes with an integrated gym cabinet to house dumbbells, resistance bands, yoga mats, and kettlebells. So, users can attend virtual classes from various iFit instructors from all over the world. One advantage to the Vault is that the screen is quite large at 60”, allowing for a full view of yourself to correct form during your workout and also easily see the instructor. The Vault is available for pre-order today, with a basic version for $1,999 and a “complete” version for $2,999 that includes the dumbbells, kettlebells and other equipment to fill the cabinet.

Tonal

You may sense a theme here as this product also builds on some aspects of the Mirror and Tempo. However, those added features include a cable system using digitally controlled magnetic resistance to add ‘weight’ to the cables. Like the Temp and Mirror, it includes a screen that can deliver workout instructions. The system also tracks your performance and can increase ‘weights’ over time as you progress in your workouts.

Screens and More Screens

There were also many ‘screen-only’ products at CES 2021, so we’ll include them all in one place. In addition to the Mirror and Tonal, the Echelon Reflect and ProForm Vue joined the crowd with their own large ‘screen’ based products. Each of these products delivers variations on features, like access to classes, individual workouts, trainers, etc.
