iPhone 13 Release Preview

Check out this way too early preview of the next generation iPhone.

Mobile Phone

It doesn’t seem that long ago that Apple released the iPhone 12 (it was just back in October 2020), but Apple is wasting no time on preparing for the release of the next-generation iPhone 13 (or whatever name they end up calling it since 13 isn’t everyone’s favorite number and is specifically seen as unlucky in various cultures/countries).

When will it Release?

As of yet, Apple has not announced any specific release date or really even hinted at it. However, based on Apple’s track record, we can likely expect the next big iPhone announcement later in 2021 – possibly in September.  So, stay tuned!

What Will be New or Improved?

We’re really going on rumors since Apple generally keeps things under wraps for as long as possible, however here are a few things that might come to fruition in the next iPhone.

Models

We can likely expect 4 different iPhone models in the next release, based on recent history.

  • iPhone Mini
  • iPhone
  • iPhone Pro
  • iPhone Pro Max

Design

Don’t expect big changes to the iPhone design with the next product release, since there were some fairly significant changes in the iPhone 12.

Display

There were rumors around an improved refresh rate for the iPhone 12 that didn’t come to fruition, so this might be a good indicator that the iPhone 13 will include some upgrades to this aspect of display performance.

Camera

The iPhone camera has improved so much in recent years that it’s almost hard to imagine it continuing to improve in every product release. However, rumors suggest there may be an improvement to the ultra-wide camera lens, along with improvements to low-light performance.

Memory

Rumors suggest we might finally see an iPhone with 1TB of storage capacity in the iPhone 13.

Battery

The iPhone 13 might involve a change to different battery technology, that would allow for significantly smaller batteries without a reduction in battery life or performance. There is also hope that the batter will actually be improved from the iPhone 12.

While we’ll have to wait until at least later in 2021 to find out more, it looks like Apple will continue delivering significant upgrades to their flagship product this year.
